Often there are abatement conflicts with the eco-system that we do not learn for decades until we see cancer clusters in regions, which are so far out of the norm that we know something is wrong and then we trace it back to an environmental contaminant.

Generally such compounds and chemicals if used properly would never have caused and issue, but they were either miss-used by the abatement company, farmer or company. Perhaps they did not know, care or the spillage was unintentional. Thus whatever the reason the abatement procedure needed a round two. In the end although the cancer clusters gave it away as a terrible wrong some 20-30 years ago there would also have been many other eco-system issues we may not have uncovered at the time such as the three legged frog syndrome or food chain collapse in the area.

Eventually Mother Nature has a way of cleaning things and everything will return to its proper balance yet we are much smarter than we were about things 2 or 3 decades ago and we can prevent much of this thru careful use of product and chemicals and by using special decision matrix protocols to minimize the negative affects and conflicts with the eco-system. Indeed we need to be thinking here in and considering this in 2006.
